EAST AFRICAN CHRISTIAN COLLEGE CELEBRATED ITS FIRST GRADUATION

Today 28th October 2022, the East African Christian College (EACC) celebrated its first graduation ceremony. Twenty-two (22) students graduated from the Faculty of Education and sixty-three (63) from the Faculty of Theology.

The Graduation took place at EACC Stadium in Kigali, and was attended by graduands and their parents; the staff of EACC; Clergy from the Anglican Church of Rwanda; and Government officials; and other high personalities.Index 3East African Christian College is a private and independent Higher Learning Institution created in 2018 by the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda with the purpose to equip servant leaders for the church and the community and produce Professional graduates of character and commitment that will serve as agents of transformation. The university was accredited by the Council of Ministers which took place on December 14, 2020. It comes to put an end to the issue of religious leaders who don’t have a degree in Theology, whereas this is required by the Government of Rwanda. Apart from the Faculty of Theology, the university also opened other faculties such as Education, Business, Public Health, etc.Eacc1 1

The construction of the university is part of several development activities that the Anglican Church of Rwanda has just carried out in recent years under the leadership of the Archbishop, His Grace Laurent Mbanda. I congratulate him on this milestone, and congratulate the graduands, the entire Anglicans, and pray that God will continue to bless us and to bless our country.
