THE CHANCELLOR OF HANIKA ANGLICAN INTEGRATED POLYTECHNIC CONGRATULATED ITS PIONEERS

On December 29, 2021, Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic celebrated its first graduation ceremony. Seventy students graduated from different departments of the Faculty of Engineering. Thirteen (13) of them were from the Department of Civil Engineering, option of Construction and Building Technology; and four (4) were from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Option of Automobile Technology.

The ceremony took place at Hanika Integrated Polytechnic Campus, Nyanza District-Southern Province, and was attended by graduands and their parents; the staff of HAIP; Clergy from the Anglican Church of Rwanda; and Government officials. The ceremony was marked by the presence of the Mayor of Nyanza District who was representing the Minister of Education as the Guest of Honor; the Bishops of EAR Shyogwe Diocese, Kigeme and Karongi; members of Hanika AIP Board of Directors; and other high personalities.

During this ceremony, the Chancellor of Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic congratulated the pioneers of the School for their efforts, commitment and strong participation in its foundation and ongoing work. Congratulated persons are those who were members of a Task Force which has a mission to upgrade Hanika Technical Secondary School (HTSS) to a polytechnic. This Task Force was formed in 2015 by the Bishop of Shyogwe Diocese. Others are members of the actual Board of Directors. Personally, I was member of the task force, and am currently a member of the actual Board of Directors. I thank God and my Bishop for this!

Congratulation to our graduates, Shyogwe Diocese community and senior leadership of Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic!
