This ministry may have many aspects: Visits (Mt 25:36); Evangelism (Procamation of the Word and Sacraments); Diaconia; Children Ministry; Training (Vocational Training; Peace and Reconciliation); Healing and Counceling; Reintegration into the society; Helping families of prisoners; Advocacy; take care of Sick Prisoners; etc. Thus, this training aims to show Pastors their role in these aspects of the Prison Ministry. That role may focus on: sharing God’s love; Share good News; Show there is hope (God’s forgiviness); to be attentive leasner; stimulate reconciliation; have a prophetic message (to be a prophet in a prison situation); etc.

This training was attended fifteen Pastors who will train others in Prison Ministry. Shyogwe Diocese conducts various evangelistic activities in Muhanga and Nyanza Prisons.
