Today, October 2nd, 2022, the Archdeacon of Hanika/Shyogwe Diocese visited Kabuga Parish (Ruhango District, Kinihira Sector). He was accompanied by Rev. HATEGEKIMANA Joseph, the Principle of Nyamagana Church District and welcomed by Rev. MUNYAMTWALI Manasseh, and many Christians who had come from different corners of Kabuga Parish.
Archdeacon SEHORANA Joseph
In his sermon, Archdeacon Joseph used the Word of God found in 2 Timothy 1:1-14. His message was based primarily on verse six: “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands”. From this verse, Archdeacon Joseph encouraged Christians to use their gifts, telling them that no one should be a bystander in God's work.
Towards the end of the Service, Pastor Manasseh, together with the Representative of the Laity, informed the Archdeacon of the important activities carried out in the year 2022 and what they plan to do in the year 2023. Activities achieved in 2022 include opening churches, helping the needy, renovating the houses which will be the offices of the Parish project supported by Compassion International, supporting ancient catechists who have served the church for a long time; etc. Among the activities they plan to do in 2023 are the constructions of a new church building and a new residence for the Parish Pastor. In his speech, Archdeacon Joseph thanked the Christians of Kabuga Parish for the work they have achieved and what they plan to do in the coming year, and promised them cooperation.
The day went well and the Christians of Kabuga Parish were very happy.
Retired Catechists were congratulated
