HANIKA ARCHDEACONRY: LEADERS ON VARIOUS LEVELS ARE BEING TRAINED ON THEIR ROLE IN MAKING JESUS’S DISCIPLES

Today, the 26th and tomorrow the 27th, various leaders from Hanika Archdeaconry/ Shyogwe Diocese, are being trained on “Working in God’s Field: Evangelism through Discipleship”.

This training is attended by sixty leaders including Pastors, Catechists, Evangelists, Sunday School Teachers, Choir Representatives, and Youth Leaders. It is being given by Mr. Greg Moss and his Wife Stephanie, who published a book on the same theme.

The training aims to help one to understand the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus and the responsibility of everyone in discipleship. It helps to understand that everyone has a responsibility to preach the Gospel to his fellows. This training answers six important questions about discipleship:

  1. What is God's role in multiplying the harvest; and what is your role?
  2. What are the requirements for someone to be a worker in God's field?
  3. What tools does God give to those who work in His field?
  4. How would you care for God's harvest to increase it?
  5. What is the best harvest?
  6. What is the importance of the Holy Spirit?

Img 12While preparing this training, the Diocese wanted to teach people the word of God because it is irreplaceable (2 Tim 3:16-17). Those who follow this training should be witnesses of the Word of God, and spread it everywhere. They should keep in mind that the harvest is great and the harvesters are few (Luke 10:2).

We thank Mr. Greg and his Wife who facilitated this training.

Joseph Sehorana, Archdeacon of Hanika
