Today, July 03, 2022, the Bishop of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Shyogwe Diocese visited Butansinda Parish, Hanika Archdeaconry.

On Sunday 26 June 2022, Shyogwe Diocese commemorated the Pastors, Believers, and Employees killed in the Genocide committed against Tutsi in 1994.

Today, June 05, 2022, new young boys and girls from the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Hanika Parish integrated the “Boys and Girls Brigade”. The ceremony took place at the Parish Headquarters, Nyanza, Southern Province.

Today, June 04, 2022, evangelists and parish leaders of EAR Butansinda met in a one retreat. The event took place at the parish headquarters and brought together more than 70 people.

This morning, May 05, 2022, we received the sad news on the passing of our dear colleague Reverend NIYONSABA Myriam from the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Kigeme Diocese. Rev. Myriam was married to Reverend James NDAMYUMUGABE. Both have served God tirelessly for a long time in Kigeme Diocese.
 

Mukingo Chapel is one of the chapels of Butansinda Parish, EAR Shyogwe. It is located in Mukingo Sector, Nyanza District, Southern Province. After two years of closure, the chapel reopened its doors today April 24, 2022 after having fulfilled all the Government's conditions relating to the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
 

Butansinda is one of the parishes of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Shyogwe Diocese, Hanika Archdeaconry. It is located very closer to the National Road Kigali-Butare-Akanyaru.

The Project RW0802 was initiated by Gahombo Parish of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Shyogwe Diocese, under the support from Compassion International. The project aims to release children from poverty in Jesus' name. It is located in Kigoma Sector, Nyanza District, Southern Province.

Today March 31, senior leaders of the Mothers Union of Hanika Archdeaconry met in a one-day retreat. The retreat took place at Butansinda Parish and brought together Pastors' wives and Mothers Union presidents at the Parish level.

The House of Bishops of the Anglican Church of Rwanda convened in the conference room of EAR Kigali Diocese, today on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, elected Archdeacon HABIMFURA Vincent as the first Bishop of Nyaruguru Diocese (located in Southern Province of Rwanda).

Today, March 20, 2022, I made a pastoral visit to Tambwe Parish (member of Hanika Archdeaconry). I would like to share with you, the joy I had today during the visit.

Greetings in the name of Jesus-Christ! Thanks are to the Lord for this opportunity to share this sermon with you. The today’s theme is: "IT IS NOT THE HEALTHY WHO NEED A DOCTOR, BUT THE SICK."

The University of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Diocese of Shyogwe, Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic, located in Hanika (Nyanza District , Southern Province), has started enrolling students wishing to start classes in March 2022.

Nyiragongo, one of the world's most active volcanoes, is a large volcano near Lake Kivu at the eastern border of DR Congo with Rwanda in the Virunga National Park. Nyiragongo is infamous for its extremely fluid lava that runs as water when the lava lake drains.

On December 18, 2021, Butansinda Parish supported by the Anglican Church of Rwanda- Shyogwe Diocese, organised a seminar at its headquarters, Mukingo Sector, Nyanza District, on “Prevention and fight against violence committed against single mothers in Rwanda”.

Today, December 25, 2021, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Jered KALIMBA, Bishop of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, Shyogwe Diocese announced the retirement of Rev. Rose-Mary NYIRANDAKIZE. The ceremonies took place at Nyamagana Parish in which she was serving as Assistant Pastor for 8 years.
